OUR STORY

Since 2023, Organized Chaos has been on a wild ride, peering through a quirky, narrative-shaped telescope to highlight the one-of-a-kind outlook of every client.

Organized Chaos is the creative brainchild of Mariana Thornton, who brought longtime friend and collaborator Carolina Diaz on board to help bring bold, intentional, and immersive ideas to life.

With nearly two decades of shared history, our partnership is rooted in trust, mutual respect, and a deep understanding of each other's creative rhythms. What started as two Miami girls obsessed with art, design, and storytelling has evolved into a multidisciplinary studio dedicated to transforming ideas into unforgettable experiences.

We combine our individual strengths — Mariana as a designer, muralist, and branding specialist; Carolina as a fabricator, sculptural artist, and spatial storyteller — to blur the lines between the digital and physical, the imagined and the tangible.

WHAT WE DO

Our work lives at the intersection of public art, branding, fabrication, and experiential design. We build immersive environments that are bold in concept, rich in texture, and deeply rooted in storytelling.

HERE’S WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE:

Murals & Public Art

Mariana has led mural projects for local businesses like 3C Fit and Parkwell, bringing color, community, and narrative to unexpected spaces. Mariana is currently developing an interactive Cuban-inspired installation for the Adams County Festival Latino 2025, celebrating culture through tactile and participatory design.

Large-Scale Fabrication & Event Installations

Carolina brings over a decade of experience in creating sculptural, large-format pieces for festivals, exhibitions, and branded events — from modular set pieces to immersive walkthroughs. Her work has shaped spaces into sensory environments that invite play, curiosity, and awe.

Through Organized Chaos, we offer full-spectrum creative services — from visual identity systems and websites to the physical environments those brands live in. Whether designing for a cultural institution, a retail space, or an interactive installation, we consider every touchpoint an opportunity for story.

Brand & Spatial Identity

What We’re Building

Our mission is to continue crafting work that invites people to look closer, stay longer, and feel more.

WE WANT TO PARTNER WITH:

Cities and cultural institutions

To develop placemaking projects, public art initiatives, and installations that celebrate local identity.

Event producers and creative agencies

To design immersive brand activations and sculptural experiences that resonate.

Small businesses and community orgs

Who want to bring their story to life through space, design, and visual language.

Our dream projects include converting underutilized urban spaces into interactive art experiences, collaborating with museums on spatial storytelling, and pushing the limits of hybrid design — where a mural can be a map, a website can feel like a playground, and a sculpture can tell a story.

At Organized Chaos, we don’t believe in staying in one lane. We believe in building new roads — colorful, crooked, and filled with wonder.
